Eight Week Self Defence Course - Starts Tuesday 31st January
This is the registration for our upcoming 8 week womens only self defence course! Classes are very informal and are taught by both female and male instructors. Our classes are always friendly and welcoming. We hope to see you in class!

About the event
Starting Tuesday, Janurary 31st 2022 at 7pm and running weekly on a Tuesday, for 8 weeks, 7pm to 9pm
Classes are very informal and are taught by both female and male instructors. Our classes are always friendly and welcoming. We always have a really good group of ladies training with us, of all ages, shapes, sizes, fitness and ability levels.
At the end of the eight weeks, if you have completed all eight classes and provided we feel you've gained all the basic skills we've been teaching you'll get an official Reading Women's Self Defence certificate for you to proudly display to everyone!
What's Covered?
Over the eight classes we will look at a variety of topics and situations, such as:
- Escaping grabs from the front
- Escaping grabs from behind
- Basic striking
- Basic kicking
- Situational awareness
- Distancing and timing
- Verbal defence
- Dealing with weapons such as knifes
- Safe falling and recovery
- Strikes to vulnerable points
- Escaping from the floor / being pinned
- Using the environment to your advantage
- Turning every day items into weapons, and much more
Tickets
Course - Pay upfront
This is for the full eight week self defence course. It includes eight, 2 hour classes, held once a week on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm, run by our experienced and friendly male and female black belt martial arts instructors

This is to register yourself as attending. You are welcome to pay on the night of the first lesson, however this option is more expensive. Make sure to select the "Cash Payment" option at checkout
